Mixed Media

Dana Swedo Bernal artwork entails going through a transformation process with different types of material, patterns, textures, and layers. My mixed media paintings are made of various materials including stucco, acrylic paint, resin, and gold leaf. These sculptural paintings combine collage with modeled surfaces on 20 gauge metal that are ultimately enrobed in resin. My current imagery speaks to landscape, environment, and architectural ornament.
